Athletics Victoria
The Athletics Victoria website currently lists Victorian and Victorian Country Track walk records for all standard categories and age groups from U13 to Open. The list is very extensive and is up to date. The oldest records in the book for women and men are those of Sue Cook (1977 - Victorian Open 1500m record) and Graeme Nicholls (1969 – Victorian Country 30,000m walk).
The full list of Victorian and Victorian Country walking records are
available on the AV website at https://athsvic.org.au/results-records/
but have been extracted
and reproduced here as a service to readers:
AV Walking Records - Dec 1999
AV Walking Records - Dec 2005
AV Walking Records - Feb 2009
AV
Walking Records - May 2010
AV Walking Records - Sept 2016
AV Walking Records - May 2018
These are all Track Walk Records. Unfortunately, the AV website does not maintain roadwalk Bests/Records.
Note that the Age for Victorian Records is 'Under the age on the day
of
competition' – this is not the same as the Age for Australian Records
which is 'Under the age as at the 31st December'.
How do you apply for a Victorian Record - I summarised it here in 2010 (but always contact AV as it may differ slightly now) : Victorian Record Checklist
